Paula Garin, Untitled, photography, 2021
I have been working around shadows as well as lights. I have decided to focus on spectral appearances. I collect those through photographies, which I take daily. Along those pictures, I take notes of the time and place I collect them from.
Betty Decure, Eros, video, 2021
My work is addressing my relationship to the body and sexuality. Videos allows me to create stagings, an atmosphere, a decor — whether they are realistic or totally fictitious. I don't consider my work to be anything serious or first degree. I have fun laughing at everything, trying to reproduce images of my dreams or my desires.
Léa Grosjean, Max, edition, drawings, 2021
An investigation into a forgotten grave on All Saints' Day. After several months of tracking down the life of this man called Max, through the town hall's and digital archives, he has become a daily companion.
Charlotte Barreyre, Splitscreen, video, 2021
We see a series of sequence shots taking place in anonymous natural locations, where thick clouds of smoke intervene, sometimes invading the frame. The space is empty of human presence, the activation of the smoke is the only spectacular event.
Loubna ait Oufrad-de Morant, Je me rappelle plus très bien, photography, 2021
Faces frozen on glossy paper. A moment frozen in the film, and a memory evaporated.
I don't remember anymore. Where have these moments gone? The people in these pictures look friendly, happy to pose for the camera. However, their features leave me indifferent. I look for a clue in a glance, in a fold of the skin. But nothing. They disperse into the crowd and fade into the forgotten corners of my memory.
Edmond Blot, Untitled, pastel and pencil on paper, 2021
With the ghelp of painting and drawing, I want to capture strangeness and grotesque things I see. I like to surprise the spectator. In this current work I erase or leave deliberatly blank aspects of the picture, in order to create an effect of incompletness.
Nicolas Sanchez-Garrido, Untitled, sculpture, 2021
I'm researching an aestethics based on the chromatic and visual fight between the natural and the human, or natural vs industrial, in the city and her surroundings as a battlefield.
Laura Chupin, Poussières, photography, 2021
These photographs were made by placing hairs, crumbs, dust and hair with precision on a white background. The shadows and certain positions of these pieces of dust can evoke dancing silhouettes. The dust, composed of various particles, appears like a micro-organism that disperses and evolves.
Manon Billien, Untitled, photography, 2021
I develop a photographic practice in which shadows confront me or illustrate my fears, my anxieties, my desires, my vision of the world. For this work, I chose to take pictures with a camera body and a photo lens that I made myself with paperboard. This allows me to get abstract photos with coloured shadows that leave a part to imagination.
Cassandre Lecocq, Untitled, performance / video, , 2021
Sound waves are invisible, yet we hear them. A ghost is a specter that has been, that is no longer, but yet we seek to feel its presence. I wanted to represent this memory through the use of echo. for this work I chose to work with a Kinect (Microsoft camera for Xbox 360 using interaction techniques) and invited the dancer Maria Giulia Serantoni to interact with my setup.
Anna Jaccoud, Peut-être, blog, 2021
I created a simulacre of a social media account, on which one can only see the description of the pictures posted, but not the pictures themselves. I want to give the work an archival and investigative aspect, and let imagination form the image and fill the frame.
Marianne Guazzi, Code, digital print, 2021
I like to use many different media, such as photography and drawing. With the present work I approach the art of concealment. Based on a coding process, I transcribe images into the binary, pixel after pixel. The result is a sequence of numbers (0 and 1), that encloses the image, and that we cannot see, but must be deciphered.
Enola Rodriguez, La Catalogne ne s'oublie pas, video, 2021
This video is about witnessing the cultural heritage of Catalan festivals, food, handicrafts so that it leaves a trace in time and memories.
Malia Terraube-Monich, Untitled, sound piece, 2021
This work adresses the question of preconceived ideas of metropolitan inhabitants concerning the tropics. In the form of interviews, I collected answers to the question. "How do you imagine was the Reunion Island in the 1970s? » and then worked them out as a soundtrack.
Lucille Monestier, À Bord, video, 2021
I can't say how many times I've taken the train, or how many hours I've spent on it. Each time, glued to the window, the same feelings that contradict each other: The nothingness, the fullness. The emptiness of presence, of Human, of life. The fullness of landscapes, of nature, of life. They are places that are inaccessible to us, yet real. We can only look at them. Phantom places, which become images.
Suzy Lauzet, Untitled, pastel on paper, 2021
In my work I try to redefine the notion of space and time through organic forms. I believe that our civilization has forgotten the feeling of energies. We have decided to be blinded and we are persisting to destroy ours, the other’s housing. I try to put a shape on this collectivly crashed interiority. The organic shape is also representing space-time, lost in the waves, like an alternative reality where the energy are always balanced. This place is accessible in our memories, in our flesh, in our consciousness and unconsciousness
Ruben Pioline, Untitled, video, 2021
I want to deal with gender stereotypes and redefine the codes of virility. These are the questions of social construction and deconstruction that interest me. Moreover, I'm interested in light work, to create an aesthetics of chiaroscuro.
Damien Huguenin-Vichaux, Existing, out of existence horses, edition, 2021
Edition of images of horses created from scratch by an Artificial Intelligence. The program's errors are frequent, and the horses are often barely recognizable, making these images true abstract paintings. Like an art historian, I document the absurd works of this AI, classifying them into multiple categories with poetic names.
Arthur Monteillet, Untitled, installation project, 2021
I want to to recreate the feeling of an anxiety attack, something almost invisible which is troubling the vision making it impossible to focus on anything else. A vision that is letting no way to breathe, a kind of ghost haunting one's brain.
Audrey Sales Albella, Untitled, photography, edition, 2021
My work is an reflexion about the notion of perception. I’m interested by the emotion of a moment. This emotion I try to capture in a cliché. I’m interested in the darks and lights of an image, the clair-obscur painting notion, I build an image just as a painting. These photographs are accompanied by written notes that are assembled in an edition.
Léna Plantade, Untitled, silkscreen prints, 2021
My project is to make the sun and the weather to develop my images. I used photo montages that I had made. Worked out as silkscreen prints, I then left them in the sun to develop. I found it interesting to have an image that varies randomly depending on the weather and the day.
Nicolas Foix, Untitled, rust on paper, 2021
Corrosion being a principle of detachment at the very level of atoms, I sought, through a series of experiments, to print images of these alterations. They symbolize to me the heritage of humanity, representing huge cities in slow rust.
Kit Szasz, (permanent) after-image dyptich, 24 polaroids, 2021
Instant photography generally depicts an isolated moment in time. By overlapping exposures, the photographic subject duplicates itself, creating a slight shadow of the second exposure. The effect resembles physiological afterimages, faded images lingering on the retina for a brief instant in the absence of the original stimuli.
Daphné Royant, Untitled, painting, 2021
Using as starting point my childhood drawings of which only stay photographs or my memory, I reproduce these drawings as big scale paintings, with the help bleach (sodium hypochlorite) on fabric.
Paloma Calandra, Blanked, video, 2021
My work is about instability, tension and borderline, and about clandestine migration. Blanked is a dichotomy between the media discourse that creates these ghostly pictures and the trauma experienced by migrants that creates the ghostly stories.
Sami Baghdadi, Untitled, digital print and video, 2021
It was late, I was strolling on the internet, captivated by a wildlife documentary, I was seized by a light, the lights of the abyss, I tried to use the color palette of these bioluminescent animals to create a ghostly, mysterious composition.
Camille Huairi-Guilhem Memories, silverprint, 2021
Enlargement and superposition of film found at the Vanves flee-market. Rendering of a ghostly aspect and a passage, a presence.
Camille Astudillo Untitled, installation (letters, table, chairs), 2021
This work is about «Madeleine de Proust» and how sometimes an object, a smell, or a taste can bring back a detailed memory. I asked five people to handwrite a little text about a memory that came back to us this way. I want to show these texts on a table where people can sit down and take the time to read.
Clothilde Venot Untitled, collages, 2021
My work is the outcome of a succession of different steps that change the nature of an image: here it has been printed, cut, repainted and commented with words that underline certain problematic of mine.
Elea Estella Untitled, edition (text and photography), 2021
An edition on the relationship between memory and an object of memory. The sensory means of reminiscence led me to the idea of "universal memory". It is a collection of stories based on an red shoe. The creation of an abstract collective imaginary allows me to root the memory in and through the object. We are attached to the memory by the object as much as we are attached to the object of the memory.
Justine Cypres Untitled, sculpture, 2021
I work with painting, drawings, weaving amongst others, technics I try to combine in order to create installations. I'm interested in ecological conciousness, decolonism, feminism, anti patriarchy and questions of gender in general. I want to capture paranormal activities, sensitive fluides between living beings and the cosmos.I want to create a new space of reality.
Yiseul Bae In the Search of My Name, sound piece, 2021
For this research I wrote the sentence in Korean "Hi, my name is BAE Yiseul" and then searched for its translations, in a hazard way through various languages. Putting the sentence into the translator is a way to discover what my name becomes on different continets.
Sully Ravary Family, photomontages, 2021
I think i talk a lot about personal mythology which I try to translate into forms.
Im interested by all practice but my inspiration mainly stems from painting.
I like to create visual rythms that talk about personnal stories.
